We’re big fans of engagement sessions for a few reasons. Not only do they allow you to get comfortable in front of the camera, they also give you the opportunity to showcase your personalities in a more casual setting that is significant to the two of you.
Engagement sessions can take place anywhere from immediately following a proposal to just a few days before the wedding. We’ve found that there isn’t a “good” or “bad” time to take your photos. We normally plan sessions based on a particular “look” a couple has in mind, spring flowers for example, or based on schedules.

We check-in about two months before the wedding to start chatting about timeline specifics, special details, family formal shot lists, special traditions and anything else we should know about your big day.
While we normally don't send this questionnaire until closer to the wedding, please don't hesitate to let us know if you have questions during the planning process!

The Big Day

You can expect your photos to be delivered via an online gallery within about three weeks of your wedding. At that time, we'll also send over details about preserving your images through prints and albums.
We hope the relationship doesn't end after we deliver your photographs. We want to hear about the adventures of married life. And if you decide to have kids, we'd love to document your growing family.

THE COLLECTIONS
Preserve your wedding memories with an album. These lay flat, professionally designed albums come with a linen or leather cover.
Albums may be ordered anytime before or after the wedding day.
ALBUMS
Engagement sessions allow you to become a bit more comfortable in front of the camera before the wedding and celebrate your love as you near the big day.
Engagement Sessions
Wedding galleries include 700 - 900 photos (based on hours of coverage). Engagement Session galleries include 100 - 125 images. These galleries allow you to download your high resolution photos and in turn, print anywhere you'd like. I do also provide you with names of print labs that will yield the best results in terms of color and quality.
How many IMAGES ARE INCLUDED?
You will receive a preview with around 40 photos 1 - 2 days after the wedding. These can be shared with family and friends and used for Thank You cards or posted on social media. It is extremely important that I am delivering the best possible product to my couples. Many hours are put into post production. The complete collection of edited wedding images will be ready for viewing via online gallery within 4-6 weeks from the date of your wedding. These images will also be delivered to you as high resolution JPG's on a flash drive.
How long until we see our wedding photos?
I absolutely love to travel for weddings and sessions! Below is the breakdown for travel cost.
Wedding Travel : $1/mile after 100 miles round trip from my location in Grand Rapid, Michigan. For wedding destinations more than 2 hours away, I may require a night of lodging.
Engagement Session Travel : $1/mile after 30 miles from my location in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
How much do you charge for travel?
The completed wedding photography contract and $1,000 non-refundable deposit are required to reserve your date. The deposit can be paid with a credit card via email invoice. The remaining balance will be due 30 days before the wedding.
